Aquamarine and morganite both belong to the beryl family,and they presents different colors because they contain different trace elements. Aquamarine is blue because of the iron,and morganite is pink because of the manganese. The rich blue of aquamarine and the intense pink of morganite complement each other,and both colors are evenly distributed on stones. This carving is created with 18K yellow and white gold,accented by 7.62 carats,E/F colour,VVS clarity diamonds,and the beautiful finishing by Mr. Zimmermann grants it a high collection and ornamental value.

This“Seahorses”carving was created in Idar-Oberstein,Germany,by Alfred Zimmermann,and he is a world-renowned colored stone sculptor. Mr. Zimmermann comes from a German mineral carver family,and he has worked on this area for decades. He is best at carving a variety of animals on transparent colored stones,and his creations are usually with the best finish and details done on them.
Before carving,Mr. Zimmermann used a several months to look at these two roughs from Brazil,and then he had the idea of the seahorse design. After that,he has taken almost a year to finish the carving of five seahorses on the aquamarine and cutting the morganite base. In final Product,the aquamarine weights 7,990 carats,and the morganite weights 4,898.50 carats. The total weight of“Seahorses”is around 2912 grams.
